Publicus is the new name for the blog and newsletter of GovWebworks. The goal of Publicus is to join forces with agencies and vendors to share online innovations in the public sector.
The word Publicus is from the Latin for “what is done for the sake of the state.” Our aim is to help all of us in the public sector to provide better online services.
Every month, we post articles about the creative solutions we’ve seen employed to improve service discovery and delivery online. Some are in the context of projects we’ve worked on ourselves, others are good ideas we’ve found from other agencies and vendors.
In turn, we invite you to share with us the online obstacles you see in the public sector. We’ll find and post examples of how these obstacles are being overcome.
At GovWebworks, we believe that accessible, user-centric online tools can foster and strengthen the relationship between government and the people they serve. Not only do these tools make the job easier for agencies, they make life better for citizens.
Who is GovWebworks?
