The Challenge
The Colorado Judicial Department was looking for a way to expedite the distribution of newly created State funds designated for improving courthouse security. Given the specific application and approval process, Colorado Judicial issued a nationwide Request For Proposal in order to evaluate both Commerical-Off-The-Shelf and custom solutions.
Our Approach
After a competitive selection process, GovWebworks was selected based on its domain experience, and strong understanding of the project requirements and technology stack. Working within the Department’s existing IBM Websphere Application Server environment, GovWebworks used Spring and Hibernate Java Frameworks along with IceFaces and MyFaces UI elements to create a modern and robust web application to address the requirements of the RFP.
The Result
The end result has been a rich, highly usable grant management tool that incorporates many Web 2.0 elements, to simplify not only the grant application process but also the review, approval and fund disbursement process. In doing so, GovWebworks has developed a strong working relationship with the client, and has since completed a Phase II of the project to provide additional features and legacy system integration.
